Fantastic lighting and a little brighter than a normal 60w bulb. Fantastic alternative to regular light bulbs, and none of the harmful side effects of the CFL’s. Great output of light, they actually seem brighter than my old 60w light bulbs and they’ll save me money. I’m changing my entire house over to these. Just ordered 2 more boxes. Great price. Hope they last as long as the box states 18.3 years or 20,000 hours. I’ll update when that time comes if they do:)*UPDATE- Just received another box of LED bulbs (TCP LA1050KND6 LED A19 – 60 Watt Equivalent (10W) Daylight (5000K) Light Bulb – 6 Pack) they are the daytime LED’S. I have a medium to large office about 20×20 and a hanging light that holds 5 bulbs. I replaced my usual bulbs with these and OMG! are they bright. It’s like daytime. Wow. These bulbs give off natural light so that it looks like the sun is shining inside. I love these. If you have a dark room and need it lit up like outside these are DEFINITELY the bulbs for you. And they will save you money all the while. I took…

Careful what you wish for I bought a total of eight of these lights to replace a bank of sixty watt incandescent lights over our bathroom mirror. My wife had been complaining, persistently if not mightily, that the lighting there was inadequate and not representative of natural light. This, she said, could lead to the “misapplication” of makeup which appears one way under artificial light and then another under sunlight. Well, good grief, we couldn’t have that! These lights produce great amounts of evenly distributed light for their miniscule wattage which is very much closer to daylight in appearance; the light is very usable. Add to that the projected longevity of these lights and the deal is a no-brainer. The queen of my days and goddess of my dreams had, ever so elegantly, glided into the powder room after the changes were made and pronounced it a great improvement. Problem solved!! …or so one might think. That same day she came out of the bathroom with her lower lip somewhat extended and her…

Really great lightbulbs — just like the old incandescents I am so glad LED lightbulbs are now becoming more mainstream and available more cheaply. I’m an early adopter and made the switch to CFL’s many years ago. CFL technology wasn’t all it was hyped up to be. They didn’t last as long as claimed and a lot of the ones I had still got hot to the touch. The most annoying part for me was that the light bothered my eyes. Even worse, CFL’s contain mercury and need to be disposed of at a collection point (but almost no one does), so they are arguable more harmful for the environment. LEDs solve this problem. They last almost forever, are solid-state, and do not present an environmental hazard when disposed of.You’ve seen LEDs before, for decades. The little activity lights that blink on your desktop computer and router are LEDs. When was the last time you saw one burn out? The manufacturer claims an 18+ year life on these bulbs. I don’t have the benefit of waiting 18 years to validate this claim, but I’ll…
