Uses a 5V USB Power Input – Which Should Be a MAJOR Positive Marketing Point Talk about easy setup! After so long dealing with finicky security cam setups and brick-walling incompatibility, I literally had this up and going in minutes. Dudes, I can’t tell you how much I personally value that.I go through my observations, setup, and a look at the app it uses in my video, but to highlight:1) The base is *very* lightweight, but as I discovered at the end of my video, if you want it angled forward as a table/ledge top cam, bring the base around to the front. Even when angled all the way down, the base remains outside of the camera view.2) Its draw is 5V @ approx. 300mA. At first I was a little bemused by the 5V micro USB power input, but when I started thinking about it – and saw the really low draw (comparatively speaking), I grew excited. Using a portable power bank, especially one with Pass-Through Charging, opens up some very flexible, spur-of-the-moment placement. A…

Overall disappointed in motion detection and lack of support. Got the camera yesterday. Packed well, easy enough to find software. Note that although it says it will support iPads, the software on the App store for iOS is for iPhone only, so it doesn’t scale properly on an iPad. The problem is that it’s really not worthwhile as a security camera at all.#1 – it detects motion walking by about 25% of the time, if you’re lucky. (And I’m talking about being within 2-3 feet of the camera itself.)#2 – after the first evening I’ve never gotten the software to load the picture from the camera on my iPad at all, even though the (sparse) motion alerts get to my iPad so there must be communication.#3 – from the web interface you cannot adjust HD or LD (high or low def) picture.#4 – you can’t use it inside pointing out through glass because when it’s not light enough the IR LED turns on and creates glare (even if you have light outside on the porch).#5 – Their website said “lifetime support” but there is no…
